For quite some time, the first- and second-year basketball teams have been busy training for their long-awaited matches. On 14th January, the Pres Juniors eagerly travelled to Grennan College to compete against Grennan College, Thomastown, and Castlecomer. The Pres played a total of four matches.
Both the first- and second-year teams faced strong opponents, but they continued to persevere and gave it their best shot! Unfortunately, the teams lost three out of four games; however, the first years made an outstanding comeback, securing their first victory against Castlecomer.
Junior Basketball Coach Ms. Carton said, “The girls were very competitive and resilient. We’re proud of how far they’ve come.”
The Pres basketball teams will get back into training for the upcoming games. Everyone is eagerly awaiting what is in store for the Pres junior basketball teams.
