Christmas Concert 2025

20-December-25
Christmas Concert 2025

On Friday we held our annual Christmas concert, which is always the highlight of the school calendar. The concert brings the school community together to celebrate the immense talents of our students and staff and is filled with music, celebration and festive spirit. Each year the school social area is transformed with beautifully decorated twinkling lights, Christmas trees and handmade displays. The concert was organised by the talented Ms Brennan with the assistance of TY students Eve and Naomi and showcased the remarkable talent and dedication of the students while marking the exciting lead-up to the Christmas holidays.

The event began with a warm welcome from 6th years Andrea, Amy, Carla and Amy, who acted as hosts for the event. A total of 28 acts took part, treating the audience to varying acts from singing, dancing, poetry and relaxing instrumental performances.

A standout moment came from 1st-year student Enya, who dazzled and impressed the audience with her kung fu moves performed to contemporary music. This lively performance brought the entire audience to their feet. Second-year student Saoirse performed a self-written poem called ‘Teenage Girl’, which captured the audience’s attention. The students and staff were moved by a performance of For Good from Wicked: The Musical by TY students Lily and Megan. The confidence and composure displayed by the performers from across all year groups reflected the strong emphasis placed on music and the arts within the school. Members of staff were also involved in performing a traitor's-style Christmas song, which surprised and delighted the audience.

Principal Sally Ronayne spoke at the conclusion of the event and commended the hard work of both students and teachers in preparing such a celebratory event. She highlighted the importance of tradition, community and creativity within the school, noting that the Christmas concert is not only a celebration of the season but also provides an opportunity for students to build confidence and express themselves through their performances.

Overall, the Christmas concert was a resounding success, capturing the true spirit of the season while highlighting the creativity, talent and strong sense of community that define the school. It was a fitting and festive way to end the term and begin the Christmas celebrations.
