Head Girl's Welcome 2016/17
I would like to welcome you all back to another school year at Coláiste Na Maighdine and hope that you have all enjoyed a relaxing summer holiday. I’m sure that you’re all settling well into the new school year. I would particularly like to welcome all of the first years, I hope the transition from primary to secondary level has been a positive experience. I’m hopeful you will have six wonderful years here, just as we have had. As we embark on this new academic year together, I’m positive that it will be filled with happiness, success and lots of good-natured banter.
On behalf of everyone here at Coláiste na Maighdine, I would like to congratulate the Leaving Certificate class of 2016 on their fantastic results and wish you all the very best of luck and success in the future.
To my fellow sixth years, our time together is coming to an end so let’s put in the work now and enjoy our last few months as students in Coláiste Na Maighdine, we’ve made so many memories during the last few years so let’s look forward to the memories we have yet to create.
As we begin a new school year, we can reflect on the one gone by and look ahead to the year and years still to come. We must not forget to enjoy the present and the year we have together. As Thomas S. Monson once said "The past is behind. Learn from it. The future is ahead. Prepare for it. The present is here. Live it.”
I would like to wish all the staff and students of Coláiste Maighdine a very healthy and prosperous school year.
