Presentation Secondary School, Waterford are committed to building a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of ability, web browser technology used and including those who have hearing, motor, visual and cognitive impairments. The site is built under the compliance guidelines as outlined by the Web Accessibility Initiative's (WAI).

About the Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI)

The World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) develops strategies, accessibility guidelines, and resources to help make the Web accessible to people with disabilities.  Developing individual websites, such as this one, that conforms to these accessibility guidelines helps to make the Web more accessible to users with disabilities and benefits all users. Whilst every effort is made to ensure the whole site conforms you may occasionally find a page which does not. If you have any problem accessing any information on the site, please contact us at and we will try to provide a solution to you.

Web development technologies

This website is built against W3C compliant code standards for XHTML/PHP and Cascading Style Sheets (for visual layout). Pre-launch this site was tested with the current versions of most popular browsers using a browser test platform from Adobe BrowserLab. Older browsers should display the page content in a readable format, but may not show all design layout structures.  Any future browsers should display this website correctly.  However, if you discover any display issues with future browsers, please contact us at

Javascript and Cascading Style Sheets

Clicking on some links in this website may open a pop-up or external window. If so, you should have JavaScript enabled on your browser in this case. Design layout is achieved on this site using cascading style sheets (css). However, if your browser or browsing device does not support style sheets, the content of each page should still be readable (degrade gracefully).
